Radomir peak

Radomir is the highest peak of Belasitsa Mountain - 2029 m.a.s.l. Until 1942 ит was named Kalabak, a name still used by the local population.

Bear Population

The new name was given in honor of the tsar Gavril Radomir. It rises on the main mountain ridge west of Mount Debelo bardo and east of Mount Lozen. The peak has a pyramidal shape with very steep western and southern slopes. It is overgrown with subalpine vegetation. On top of the peak and on the ridge runs the state border between Bulgaria and Greece. The tip is marked with a border pyramid №24.

The approach to the peak is done along marked tourist trails starting from Petrich, village of Kolarovo, village of Belasitsa and village of Samuilovo.
