Kongur Speed Climb is a trail running and mountain bike race that requires participants to be in good physical and mental condition with appropriate equipment and to know and accept the terms and conditions for participation listed here.

Kongur Speed Climb will be held on October 8th 2017 at 9.00 AM EET (UTC + 02)


Routes
Kongur Speed Climb offers two routes:


Kongur Speed Climb trail runners – 10.8 km, 1750 D +


Kongur Speed Climb mountain bikers – 24.4 km 1750 D +


The start of both routes is at the center of Petrich and the final is on Kongur peak.


The two routes will be marked so as to ensure the most unhindered passage of the participants. Each competitor is responsible for following the marking while moving along the route and not departing from it.

Right of participation


Participation in Belasitsa Sky Run can only be taken by registered on the official site of the event - http://active-belasitsa.com entrants.




Requirements for participants


Competitors should be well acquainted with all the risks and challenges involved in participating in such trail running and mountain bike race and to be able to cope with them. Each participant must be prepared to deal with physical fatigue or injuries, severe weather conditions, orientation on the mountainside, moving on difficult and varied terrain often with steep slopes, encounters with wildlife and others.
Each participant is responsible for his/her safety during the event! By submitting the registration form, each participant declares that he/she is physically healthy, has the necessary skills to participate in the competition, and that he/she has individual responsibility for his/hers actions (intentional or unintentional) during the event.
Running and mountain biking are physical activities that can cause physical overload, injuries or even lead to the risk of a fatal outcome. We recommend that all participants consult their GP prior to participating.
Each participant is required to protect the environment. Do not pollute, destroy plant or animal species and follow the legal regimes of the protected areas through which the route passes.
Each participant undertakes to follow the instructions of the team responsible for conducting the competition.



Mandatory minimum personal equipment


For the safe running of the competition each participant must carry the following mandatory minimum personal equipment:

1. Waterproof and windproof jacket;

2. Mobile phone with a charged battery and possibility to make outgoing calls on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the FYR of Macedonia.

3. Safety helmet (mandatory only for bikers)



Registration


Participation in Kongur Speed Climb takes place only after registration. Registration is done online at the official site of the event http://active-belasitsa.com. For the registration to be valid all the necessary data in the enrollment form must be filled.


By registering for the race, each participant in Belasitsa Sky Run declares that he/she fully agrees with these Terms of Participation.


All participants accept at their own risk the possibility of any injuries, traumas and identify themselves as physically healthy and declare that they have the necessary capabilities (physical and mental) to participate in the race. Every participant in the event is enrolled and participates entirely on his/hers own responsibility.


The first 170 registered participants (incl. both trail runners and mountain bikers) will receive a lightweight sport vest with the competition logo.


The registration opens on 8th June 2017 and closes on 25th September 2017.

 

No registration will be made for Kongur Speed Climb оn race day.



Participation Fee


Participation Kongur Speed Climb 2017 is free of charge.

Kongur Speed Climb will be held on October 8th 2017 at 9.00 AM EET (UTC + 02).

Kongur Speed Climb is part of the Belasitsa Active Weekend which also includes Belasitsa Sky Run, a short distance running race at the finish area ​​in Petrich, movie night, presentations of the nature and the cultural heritage of Belasitsa region and other surprises.

 

A detailed agenda for the race and the side events will be announced at least 30 days before the start.

 

 

Organizers and responsibility

 

Organizers of Kongur Speed Climb are Club for Extreme Sports and Mountaineering Bela Extreme – Petrich (Bulgaria) and Mountaineering and Ecology Club Edelvajs – Strumica (FYR Macedonia).

 

Organizers reserve the right to change the terms and conditions described here at any time without notice.

 

The organizers are not responsible for any injuries, traumas or death of the participants in the race.
